Legacy of Ys: Books I & II is a 3D role-playing game. The game is a remake of the first two episodes of the Ys series, released in 1987. In a very Japanese style, the player is embedded in the history of the world of Ys. The game system is, to say the least, classic: the player explores a vast world, the battles are randomly managed, and once the enemy is on the ground, the player gains experience points allowing him to increase level and so 'acquire new skills.
